The 90-minutes sharing session was aimed to expose about the postgraduate opportunities in NCKU especially at the College of Medicine and the Center of College of Bioscience and Biotechnology for the local final year undergraduate students and recent graduates of science streamed courses. The invited panelists were: Miss Alice Chen (Deputy Assistant Director, Education Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia), Miss Jui Chen (Administrative Officer, Office of International Affairs, College of Medicine, NCKU), Professor Dr. Liang Yi-Hung (Director of Biotechnology and Bioindustry, College of Bioscience and Biotechnology, NCKU), Dr. Nurhafiza binti Zainal (Senior Lecturer, Department of Medical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, UM) and Miss Melody Tseng (Manager, Overseas Recruitment and Admission, Office of International Affairs, NCKU).

Among the topics that were covered by the panelists were the brief overview of the College of Medicine and the College of Bioscience and Biotechnology, NCKU’s admission process, finance and studying assistance for international students. Miss Alice Chen shared on what made Taiwan an ideal destination for students from all over the world. She also explained on the different scholarships by Taiwan government for overseas students.  Dr. Nurhafiza who was also the first UM-NCKU dual PhD degree holder also shared her personal PhD. journey at NCKU. This event was jointly organized with the Translational Core Laboratory (TCL), Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia in accordance to the Virtual TCL Career Day 2022.
