The NCKU Overseas Hub in Malaysia has had the privilege of organizing another event under the theme of Aerospace for the second consecutive year. This year, the NCKU Overseas Hub in Malaysia, in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), co-organized an online event entitled the “Joint Webinar between UPM (Aerospace Engineering) and NCKU (Aeronautics & Astronautics)” on April 24, 2024. Dr. Syamimi binti Saadon, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UPM served as the webinar coordinator. Dr. Syamimi was also one of the participants in the NCKU Overseas Hub in Malaysia’s 2023 Researcher and Mobility Networking Programme. This marks the first event organized between NCKU Overseas Hub in Malaysia and UPM.

The event commenced with opening remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fairuz Izzuddin Romli, the head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at UPM, and Distinguished Prof. Cheng Chin-Hsiang, the head of the Power Engine and Clean Energy (PEACE) lab at NCKU. The 4-hour event was moderated by Dr. Syamimi. A total of 6 speakers were involved in this event.

The event had a diverse range of participants majority from both UPM and NCKU. The event also attracted participants from Universiti Malaya.
