On 15 April 2026, the UM Engine Career Day 2026, hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, successfully brought together top industry players and aspiring engineering talents in a vibrant and dynamic setting at Universiti Malaya.

This year, the event was further enriched by the participation of the Academy of Innovative Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing (AISSM), National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, who joined as visiting delegates under the 2026 NCKU AISSM Trip in Malaysia.

The AISSM delegation, led by Prof. Wei-Chou Hsu (Dean) and joined by Prof. Yu-Lung Lo, Prof. Ming-Chi Chou, Prof. Lih-Yih Chiou, and Ms. Phoebe Lu, engaged with students and participants at Booth 69, Exam Hall 1, sharing insights on Semiconductor education and research opportunities, advanced technologies in IC design, packaging, and materials and international study pathways and collaboration opportunities.

The presence of AISSM added a strong international dimension to the event, allowing students to explore global academic pathways and cutting-edge developments in the semiconductor field.
