As part of the 2026 NCKU AISSM Trip in Malaysia, on 16 April 2026, AISSM delegates delivered engaging student talks at Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, UM by Prof. Lih-Yih Chiou, the Director of Integrated Circuit Design, and Faculty of Science, UPM by Prof Yu-Lung Lo, the Associate Dean of AISSM.
The sessions introduced students to the AISSM Semiconductor Summer School and highlighted exciting opportunities in semiconductor education, research, and global career pathways.
Through the sharing, students gained insights into the rapidly growing global semiconductor industry and Taiwan’s leadership in chip technology, AISSM’s specialised programmes covering IC design, semiconductor manufacturing, packaging & testing, and key materials, hands-on training, industry-linked projects, and international learning experiences at NCKU and opportunities such as internships, short-term training programmes, and global mobility pathways.
The talk also showcased how AISSM is shaping future talent in semiconductor and sustainable manufacturing, preparing students to be part of a globally competitive and innovation-driven industry.
We extend our appreciation to UM and UPM for the opportunity to engage with students and share knowledge on emerging technologies.
