Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), in collaboration with the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), Mahidol University, and National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, recently organized the “MU-NCKU International Exhibition & Symposium: Medical Device Innovation & Medical Care” on September 11-12, 2023.

In this regard, Prof. Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, Dean’s Advisor and Director of NCKU Overseas Hub in Thailand, reported the previous cooperation to establish the MU-NCKU Joint Research Center and the purpose of this exhibition and symposium.

To start the event, the opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, along with Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University, Prof. Fong-Chin Su, Founding Director, Medical Device Innovation Center, Department of Biomedical Engineering, NCKU, and Assoc. Prof. Chia-Hsiang Lin, Director of Division of International Relations, Department of Electrical Engineering, NCKU.

Distinguished guests of the event also included Mr. Ouyang Yen-Heng, Director of the Education Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, and Clin. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Kiattavorncharoen, Dean of MUDT.

Following the opening session, Lect. Binit Shrestha from the Department of Prosthodontics of MUDT, as an event moderator, introduced experts who were invited to deliver scientific presentations, along with the exhibition booths from different companies and institutions showcasing medical device innovation and medical care.

• This included three different groups of research collaboration discussion among Mahidol University and NCKU executives and exhibitors.
